I wish I came across this website earlier. I've been scammed and all because I followed my damn heart and not my mind.
Here follows the original message:
I off course replied to the mail by asking if he expects any money for transport which he said he didn't.I'm Nicolas from Durban.I work in the King Edward Hospital in Durban,
KwaZulu-Natal, but currently in Yaounde,Cameroon for an international AIDS
Project.I traveled along with my 13 weeks old female English Bulldog
puppy(Fina), but due to the nature of my work here I cann't really take
care of her anymore, so I have decided to give her out for adoption and
I'm only interested in adopting my puppy only in SA where I could alway
pass by to check on her when I'm back in the country, or to someone who
will promise sending me updates of her photos.
I wish to know if you are knowledgeable about this breed or if you have
owned a dog before? You got kids? Because she's so playful and
affectionate.Fina isn't for sale, all I'm looking for is just a good and
caring home where she could become the center of attention.

Then came the mails about cages, and insurance and quarantine bill and it just didn't end.
And when they finally sent me the registration documents & passport, the documents where registered in someone else's name with another dog and the passport was a whole different dog.
I phone the lady to whom the documents where registered too, and she said she was promised a Yorkshire terrier by the same guy.
Needless to say I haven't heard from them since I brought up the fact that the documents where wrong. Now they've just disappeared off the map.
It really is sad that they use this means to scam people. I had to have my doggy put down a few weeks ago and unfortunately was very vulnerable to this scam. I cannot believe I fell for it.

Tania got me to believe that she has a English Bulldog Puppy called "Fina" that she wanted us to adopt because she travels alot and she cannot take care of her.
She made everything sound so real until we got a letter from the Air Lines (which we now know was fake) saying that Fina is in Zambia at the moment and they won't release her unless a payment of R2500.00 is made for her insurance. Me and my husband found this very strange that they would ask this after everthing was arranged by Tania in "Cameroon"
I then phoned the Airlines on my side asking if I can check where "Fina" was just to check if all is allright. They told me that I need the Waybill number. I then mailed the Airline in "Cameroon" to ask for the Waybill Number. I got a email back saying this
"Dear
Client,
It was made to our understanding that
you have never met the said pet before, that is why we insisted on a change of
ownership document, So it is our duty to know who we give details to and why we
give out the details. We just have electronic communications and are not yet
sure that the said pet is yours or rightfully heading over to you. So we cannot
let you have all the details. When the said pet will get to it's destination
and the delivery carrier confirms the documents and your national ID card, you
will have the puppy and the refund of the money paid in.Your puppy took
transit, with Kenya Airways, but all these details, we withhold them for
everybody's security. We are sorry you cannot get these details now since you
have not been Identified. That is why we even decided to deliver the puppy at
your home. The delivery agent knows the address where the puppy is heading to
so once he get there and confirms Your ID card and registration document, you
will have your puppy.
You have not been Identified yet so you
cannot have all the details.
And by the way, why do you need the
number? Who asked for it?"
Where in your life to a professional person ask you such rude questions. And Sorry Courier company won't let their drivers drive around with thousands of rands of cash to give to the client as a refund.
Tania on the other hand was now in such a state that she said she is now so worried about her "Fina" that is all alone in a strange country.

I am currently being scammed by Tania Van Wyk who has give the same story about "Fina" but this time its a picture of a boerboel puppy and she is not able to look after her as she travels alot and is currently based in cameroon but i suspected this being a scam when she wanted me to pay the balance of the courier cost of R900 cash then i refused and she wanted my banking details to have money transferred into my account. She is a total ripoff and I want her caught so she does not continue her scams as some people might fall for it and loose their hard earned money.

We’re animal people, we help where we can, most people know that. After seeing a friend’s Boston Terrier, my fiancée thought it would be a nice dog to add to the family, but we will never support a breeder, so we set about seeing if there are any that need to be rescued/re-homed. A bit of a search showed they’re only for sale from breeders, but eventually one popped up.
Fina the Boston Terrier.
There was an ad for Fina who needed a new home, the owner, “Tania” from Durban, was weeding out the weirdos to find her the best home possible. So we dropped her a mail saying we’d love to give the dog a new home and asked is she was still looking for a home. Tania replied:
So we replied saying that it sounds perfect, lets get the dog here for it’s happy new life. Anyhoo, we had sent banking details of an account that’s no longer in use as well as a fake delivery address just in case and to see what happens. No reply for a few days.
