These are scams and scam websites which do not fall into the other categories of scams or can be used in multiple scams. They include Next of Kin, Trunk Box Scam, Dying Widow, Rich Orphan, Payment Representative, Fake FBI, Fake Compensation Scam, Sextortion scam, etc.
This is a Blackmail Scam originating from Nigeria with likely Malaysian accomplices, they are specifically targetting Malaysia claiming to buy rare coins. They attract their victims on social medias...Facebook, Instagram etc..this is just one example as there are a number of them.

If you have a social media account like Instagram, chances are you would have been offered up to US$10,000 (RM41,400) for old notes and coins by collectors.
• First, you’ll get an offer to buy old items like coins and notes on your social media accounts such as Facebook and Instagram.
• If you respond, you will be offered a very high price for it, usually 10x the value.
• If you agree, you will be asked for your bank account details so the money can be paid via bank transfer or telegraphic transfer.
• You will then be informed that the money has been transferred to your account but it has been blocked.
• You will be then be contacted by another party posing as someone from Bank Negara or Customs claiming that you have committed a crime.
• Finally, you will be told that you have to pay a hefty fine.

Before any seller pay for the activation fee you must request for a receipt from the Bank Of America as a proof that the offered money is already pending in your account, immediately you get this receipt you have to immediately deposit the fee to the account number which would be sent to you. You can either pay the activation fee through ONLINE BANKING/ONLINE TRANSFER or you can go to the ATM CASH DEPOSIT MACHINE to deposit the fee, after you bank in, you will screenshot or snap the receipt and send it then wait approximately 10 – 15 minutes so that your account can be credited. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE FEE IS RM800 AND IT WILL BE RETURNED BACK TO YOUR ACCOUNT ALONG WITH MONEY THAT WOULD BE TRANSFERED TO YOUR ACCOUNT.
